Drilling Courses
The Drilling Courses section at Nexon Training Hub offers a specialized range of training programs designed to build technical expertise across all stages of oil and gas drilling operations, in accordance with top international standards.
These courses focus on improving operational efficiency, ensuring safety compliance, and understanding modern drilling technologies for both onshore and offshore environments.
Training programs include both theoretical instruction and hands-on practice, delivered by highly experienced field instructors using advanced simulators and realistic training settings.
IWCF
The IWCF Well Control Course is a critical certification program for professionals involved in drilling and well intervention operations. It is designed to provide participants with the essential knowledge and skills to manage well control situations, in alignment with the globally recognized standards of the International Well Control Forum (IWCF).
The course covers both theoretical and practical aspects, including pressure control concepts, kick detection, shut-in procedures, equipment use, and pressure balance calculations.
Hands-on training is conducted using advanced simulators to replicate real-life well control scenarios, with a strong focus on safety, precision, and decision-making under pressure.
Target Audience: Drilling engineers, well site supervisors, well control operators, and field personnel involved in drilling or well servicing operations.
Outcome: An internationally recognized IWCF certification that qualifies participants to work in global drilling environments and reinforces their competence in maintaining well integrity and operational safety.
Stuck Pipe
The Stuck Pipe Prevention course is an essential advanced program in drilling operations that focuses on understanding the causes of stuck pipe incidents and applying proactive strategies to prevent them. Preventing stuck pipe events can significantly reduce non-productive time and operational costs.
The course covers the various types of pipe sticking (mechanical, differential, pack-off), diagnostic techniques, recovery methods, and best operational practices to minimize risk. Emphasis is placed on early warning signs, preventive planning, and teamwork during drilling operations.
Target Audience: Drilling engineers, assistant drillers, field supervisors, and drilling technicians working onshore or offshore.
Outcome: Participants will gain the knowledge and tools to recognize, prevent, and manage stuck pipe situations, contributing to safer and more efficient drilling operations.
